Calling all Batman fans: Ask Christian Bale your question!

Every summer needs a blockbuster and this year is no different. Batman is back. As the latest edition of one of the most famous super heroes is out next week, we’ve partnered with Yahoo! Movies to bring a little Dark Knight frenzy to Answers.
We’re asking you, the Answers community, for the perfect question for Christian Bale. The best question will be put to him, on your behalf, by Yahoo! and recorded on video.
So, what do you want to ask Christian?

When you’ve decided on your killer question for us, just post your question as a comment on this blog or email the UK & Ireland Answers team on y_answrs_team_uk@yahoo.co.uk.Tim Burton was the first director to immortalise Batman on the big screen and ever since Michael Keaton’s impressive performance alongside Kim Basinger, the caped crusader has had many changing faces.
In Dark Knight actor Christian Bale brings to life Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, who’s fighting against the fearful Joker, played by the late Heath Ledger. Rumour is we see our hero cross the thin line between good and evil like never before…
And talking of first times, since the site launched Answers has seen interesting and popular question from celebrities like Bruce Willis, Jonathan Ross, Keane and Nathalie Portman. You’ve all enjoyed sharing with them your favourite song, the secret of becoming an amazing cook and even why you think we experience déjà vu experiences. But this time, we’ve reversed the rules of the game so one lucky Answers member will have the opportunity to ask our celebrity a question.
You have until Monday morning to post your question on this blog or email the UK & Ireland Answers team on y_answrs_team_uk@yahoo.co.uk. We’ll then select the best question and it will be answered by Christian on video and posted on this blog next week.

are you looking forward to filming the terminator films
Out of all the movies in your career, which has been your favourite to work on and why?
Do you think that playing this character is one of your best roles to date?
When you were little or now, your favorite superhero/s the “gifted” one or the “gadget” one?
What would you think of superman (not compared to batman for obvious reasons)?
on a scale of 0 to 10, how much of a lucky b**t*rd have you been since your life began?
Christian,Which of the batman films is your favourite and why?
Did you transfer any of the “Patrick Bateman” character from your role in American Psycho into your interpretation of Batman?
R.I.P Heath Ledger
Hi Christian, i really love the slightly strange edge that you seem to effortlessly inject into your roles, i loved esp american psycho! do you look for roles that allow you to express yourself through the characters, or do the characters draw out personality traits that are unknown to you?
good luck in all you do : )
helen : )
Is there likely to be more films after Batman: Dark Knight, and if so, which villians might you be fighting against?
Hello Christian. I am a huge Batman fan from the UK and am privileged to have the opportunity to ask you something about Batman.
My question is, who do you feel is your character’s true identity? Is ‘Batman’ or ‘Bruce Wayne’ the disguise, in your opinion?
Thank you Christian, and I hope to see you in many more Batman films to come. You’ve managed to capture the character perfectly!
How would you describe your interpretation and representation of Batman/Bruce Wayne in comparison with previous performances of the character?
when are you going to star in a film
with your sisters
If you could work with any other superhero movie star, who would it be ?
You’ve been living in the USA for a while now, but do you consider yourself American or British?
Can the Batman exist in the real world and make a real difference in solving all the real crimes, which we face in the world today?
Question for Christian Bale…
if you could be a super hero for real who would it be and why or if there’s a dark side to you which villian ?
jill wadkin
Dear Christian
It seems you’ve been through a lot of ups-and-downs in your career, both practically and emotionally. What advice would you give to someone like me, a 34 year-old struggling amateur-theatre actor trying to get his professional break? No easy answers there I know, but any advice would be appreciated.
Best wishes on your current success.
Andrew Hawcroft
Galway, Ireland
are you homosexual?
Do you think that the next Batman film should avoid the Penguin? I would like to see Croc as one of Batman’s foes, I would love if they avoided the obvious.
Please ask him would he like Nolan to leave the Penguin
out of the next installment.
Thank You.
Hi Christian,
In my opinion you are an extraordinary actor and the proof being your great body of work including the Machinist/3.10 to Yuma etc. You are living my dreams in becoming both Batman and John Connor on the big screen. Do you ever pinch yourself at the honour of playing such roles?
Bruce Wayne uses his fear of bats as a tool to push himself further mentally and physically, it helps him overcome his weaknesses as a man. Do you do have anything similar (maybe a mantra) that helps push you when preparing for difficult roles?
Great actor with depth and professionalism.
You are presently doing T4.
Are you considering doing any theatre work, USA or UK?
Christian, you are well known for playing edgy dark chracters. What do you do in real life to lighten up and have fun?
What was the hardest scene for you to perform in the Dark Knight?
I’d like to ask Christian - Does being a successful adult actor feel like a whole world away from your success as a child actor?
how does it feel knowing what you and everyone else on the movie havedone for batman fans worldwide. for all the batman fans round the world we thank you for what you have givin us.
thank you
lee rex
YOU ARE WELL KNOWN FOR YOUR METHOD ACTING…Q. WHAT HELPS YOU PREPARE FOR THE ROLE OF BATMAN ‘THE DARK KNIGHT’ ?
THANKS
CAROLINE
Would you ever help me get into acting?
And what kinda energy were you feeling while you were doing the interigation scene with heath? Looks awesome!!!
Having see you in The Prestige, Reign of Fire, The Machinist, Rescue Dawn, and now portraying Batman/Bruce Wayne. This seems like an odd role in the sense of genre. Also, given the many different faces of Bruce Wayne/Batman; what was your motivation / insperation for the role and were you were you concerned about being, ‘just another face in the cowl’?
What goes through your mind when it comes to interpreting a famous character, so that it appeals to a modern mature audience as well as young people who love the franchise?
Batman runs several high performance vehicles; in the current geo-political climate how would Bruce Wayne address the need for lower carbon emissions, considering the BatMobile sounds like it runs 0.4 miles to the gallon, whilst maintaining his competitive edge on bringing down dastardly criminals? Perhaps a hybrid BatMobile build by Wayne Enterprises and Toyota?
In Batman Begins we saw Brue Wayne’s transition and character arc into Batman. This time around what can we expect to see from Bruce and the dark knight both physically & mentally as he fights crime and for a normal life?.
Also did you get to use the Bat-Pod? If so what was it like to use?
All the best for the furture and can’t wait to see the film.
Hi Christian, firstly congratulations on making Batman Begins such a great film. The original films were such a let down and it is nice to see a director and actor making a film/character look the way he was originally written to be. I can’t wait to see the new film. Any chance of 2 tickets to see it at the UK premiere??
Dear Christian, Dark Knight is a film with brilliantly haunting performances from yourself and Heath Ledger. Do you see the Joker as an integral part of Batman, and Batman as an integral part of the Joker?
Did anyone on set or at home such as your wife, comment on an increase in body odour after being and acting in the bat suite all day long? And if so, what was your response to it? Because i would figure it would get incredibally hot and stuffy within it.
Or perhaps a collaborative project with the “Green” goblin could reduce his carbon footprint? (carbon batprint?)
What are your recurring dreams?
Hi Christian,
wow! What to say! Would you say that becoming the most iconic batman and making the Dark Knight especially has been a life changing experience for you?
Thank you for this film!!!!!!!
Bonnie
What was the most challenging aspect of filming the Dark Knight,to try and better Batman Begins.
Hi,
My question is….
How has physically conditioning yourself to play Batman for the second time been compared to say preparing for The Machinist?
Seeing how you manage to change for each role in so little time for each movie like a machine, perhaps you should have played a Terminator in the upcoming flick!
Keep the good movies coming!
- D -
How can Batman be so sure that he is still on the side of good when fighting such evil?
The rumour is that you want to play John Connor in a new Terminator film, If this rumour is true then want has made you want to play the role and what do you think that you can bring to the genre?
Christian, are there any legendary movie characters you wish you could have had the chance to play, and on another note, given the current nature of the film industry, are there any movies you hope will be re-made which may afford you the chance to improve upon or simply re-imagine a character you feel had much more potential than in it’s original incarnation?
How do you feel watching a movie and yourself acting with someone who isn’t alive today?
How kind of a person was Heath Ledger? Were you close?
In which movie did you have the most fun filming and why?
What is your favorite superhero and Why?!?
What did you Enjoy most & Hate most, about making this movie? and how did you find this experience (different) in comparison to the previous movie?
Whats the next project your working on?
Do you think that the idea of a Batman-like hero could be possible in today’s world?
I don’t have a question, just a compliment on how Christian has interpreted the character. Well done, it’s about time someone started to move these superheroes towards what they really are, vigilantes.
Nearly all of the superheroes were vigilantes (apart from Superman, who was the only official crime fighter, with a special badge issued by the US government).
Batman was a vigilante, and a seriously pissed off one too. Nobody would intensly train for 20 years of their life just to give the criminals a parking ticket and a fine. Batman should be a figure that makes your stomache churn with his brutality, he should crush bones and laugh as he does it. This has never appeared in films before. Previous vigilantes were either goody two shoes (Spiderman, Daredevil), or depicted as half mad (The Punisher) who always overcame their ‘dark side’.
I want a vigilante that ENJOYS killing the bad guys, that ENJOYS stamping on the faces of paedophiles, before sticking their heads on a pole. Batman should be so violent, that he out brutalises the bad guys. Shocking? Outrageous? Sick?
No, it’s what the public secretly desire.
Bale’s Batman isn’t going to be perfect, but at least he brings a sense of realism to the character, and is light years ahead of the silly 80s efforts.
so how does it feel to be a superhero but not in real life?
Heath is a fascinating guy how was he like to you on set?
we all know you to be a great method actor, was there any special training or preperation that differed from the last batman film that you did for this one?
Your work in Batman Begins was fantastic with the surroundings of morgan and Michal the story really came to life this film was truelly outstanding
with the latest one how do feel it lives up to the pedigee of what you have given in the pat Chrisine the follow on must be good
We belive that BB is the best film we have seen
It is our favourite of all times I am39 Finoa is a little younger
wha more have you in the close to woho us all
I admire your work
but stay away from the Dogey flowers for god’s sake
Mark FromSunderland England
Oh can I borrow the bat mobile I’ve already tried the lambo and i think the bat moblie could be more fun
Mark
Christian,
How far do you go into getting into character for an acting role,i see you’ve lost weight for “The Machinist” & built up muscle for “Batman”…
Do you consider yourself as a method actor ???
&…Is it true you auditioned for the part of ‘Robin’ in “Batman Forever” ???
Cheers !!!
The way you work with the camera in your roles is unique. Do you ever thought about to become a director too?
You’ve come a long way since American phyco, if theres another film in it, who je recon would play a good, Robin, Penguin,or bat girl?
I would suggest Will ferrel or borat as the Riddler, and Jessica Alba as cat woman.
Hi Christian,
I’ve always been a fan of the batman character and movies, I’ve watched all of them, but still Batman begins is the one I favour, I think you’ve been perfect for the part. I can’t wait to see The Dark Knight.
Q: Have you ever wanted to be a Batman where you were little!
Did you ever feel as if you were really Batman - that is, did the costume make you believe it was really who you were, even for a moment?
christian,do you think detective sgt harvey bullock should be included in future batman films? in the comics he is a central figure as the only good guy to be dangerous to the batman because bullock wants him arrested as an illegal vigilante & has friends who agree with him! what do think?
I’ve heard that they’ll be a third Batman movie. If so, who will be the villain?
What is your view on the fact that the Joker is nearly stealing Batman’s thunder in the film?
Aside from the fact that Heath Ledger’s untimely demise led to a lot of press, but in the film too do you think the character overshadows Batman, since Batman is so conflicted in this film whereas the Joker pretty much knows what he wants?
i read somewhere that you change your accent for every movie you make. Have you still got your welsh accent, and are you proud of your roots?
Does Christian Bale already wear the Batman suit or it’s just a stunt man?
In my opinion you are the finest actor of your generation, with commitment to your roles unparalelled. What actors past or present do you look up to and had the most impact on your approach to your craft.
What is your motivation and why do you push yourself to the limit to achieve total immersion in your character portrayals from such physical extreme scales as The Machinist and then to Batman.
What role have you played that you are most proud of.
What famous figure in history would you most like to portray in a biopic and how would you approach portarying them convincingly?
Dear Christian,
Are you a life long fan of the ‘Bat-Man’ franchise and do you have a favorite villain? Would I make a good villain? A dispossessed Lord holding Yahoo! Answers ransom because Bat-Man has a spiffier car than me. I think I’d have Clive Owen play me, the lucky pup.
Always,
Lord Cecil Cedric, 3rd Duke of Prymont
In your career, you always seem to pick rather emotional fellows to portray. My question is: is there a motivation to playing the characters you do?
Dear Christian,

Hi Christian,
Like a lot of people here I would like to thank you for making the Batman films great again, and can’t wait to see the new movie.
I would like to ask you how much input did you have with the batman begin ps2 game? as its soo much fun to play. And if you lend the bat mobile to the funny guy that asked earlier can I borrow it aswell???
Any chance of a autograph please??!!!
Many thanks again
Wayne.
Hi Christian
Love you, you are a fantastic actor. Little women still one of my favorite though
I want to ask you, how do you balance your life when you are so busy filming and surrounded with all this media and success? Where do you relax?
thanks
Nina
Hi Christian.
I would like to ask you if you had a specific moment of clarity in your life that made your realise, this is what I have to do in order to get where I want to be?
If so what brought that moment on?
Peace,
D.W
Hi Christian
You seem to choose roles that you can physically, as well as emotionally inhabit. Is that a conscious decision and do you find it easy to switch back to being you at the end of the process?
Thanks
Seja
Hi,
How is it working with Chris Nolan, as compared to other directors? I am sure others are good too, but what quality of Chris makes you work with him again and again?
Hi,
I always wondered what do you look for in a script when choosing them? What other major factors other than the script help you in choosing a movie?
Many actors look for the ‘differences’ from their previous experiences and style - do you have any special thing that you always look for?
Hi,
The Dark Knight is being hailed as the best movie ever made. (I have not seen it yet, but I believe the others)
How do you feel at such an occasion? If Heath was alive today, would you be feeling the same?
hi Christian. I was wondering why you decided to go for the role of Batman in Dark Knight. Were you a fan as a child? Did the idea of being called by the Batman signal appeal? Did you simply consider it as another job? I’m interested. The movie looks good and i have to say, the actors are great but the question keeps coming up to me.
Anyway, you probably think i have quite a lot of spare time and have no life but when people compare an average persons’ life to an actor’s, even the most interesting people seem a little dull. I was also wondering what was it like working with Heath Ledger before his unidentifiable death, it seems such a waste of talent to die so young, i feel sorry for his family and friends who now most probably feel that becoming famous will kill you, and frankly i don’t blame them.
This is a little odd, but could i have your autograph? My address is Redland Villa, Elm Lane, Redland, Bristol, England. I know quite a lot of people must ask you things like that but i’m a fan of Bruce wayne!
Thanks,
Jazz
I know you did alot of physical training for the role following “The Machinist” (in which you scared the %$*& out of me) but I was wondering what you used to build on the character.
Is there anything you discovered about the character that you found really interesting and may want to build on?
Hi Christian,
How does feel to have worked with the late Heath Ledger in his last film?
Hi Christian,
I know you have played Batman in two films but who is your favorite superhero and why?
Thanks
Raza
Q: How important to the role of Batman do you think it is to create two very different characters in Bruce Wayne and the Batman persona and how much does this affect your performance of the role?
Hey, Christian. I was wondering who your favorite comic hero was growing up, and if you were able to bring any of that childhood fascination into the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman?
Hi Christian
You certainly have come a long way Since Empire of the Sun. Very few child actors continue to have a good(great in your case) career into their adulthood. Do you remember your memories of that film, and did you just make all the right choices?
thanks
Alex
Hi Christian, since you are now working on the new Terminator Trilogy and it’s possible that you might make more Batman movies, how are you going to have time to make less BLOCKBUSTER movies that you have done in the past and have been so good in (I.E. The Machinist, Equilibrium)?
Mr Bale.
Masiive fan of what you have done so far, especially with Batman.
My question is, when you were of the age that you filmed “Empire of the Sun” did you ever have a boyhood dream to play a role like the Bat or someone similar? When I was that age I was still trying my hardest to use the force!
Also, as a British Actor, what has it been like working with a icon like Mr Cane?
Scott Jamieson. Aged 32 and a half.
what was it like to act along side heath ledger?
Hi Christian,
you obviously put a lot into each role that you play and must learn a lot from each of them and i was wondering what is in your opinion the best thing that you have learnt be it a new martail art (batman) or something about war (rescue dawn) or about the human body (the machinest) ? Thank you
Hi Christian,
I’m a big fan of ours and i am really inspired your work, especially your role in the prestige.
The question i am asking is, the same one i asked kevin spacey when he visited our school a few months back:
What has been the most rewarding experience you got in the acting industry? Is it working with great actors like Michael Cane, Hugh Jackman or Heath Ledger? Or is it working with great directors such as Christopher Nolan?
So ok, it’s hard to get into the industry and it is a demending job, but with your roles in the machinist etc.. what was the most difficult thing you have to deal with and what tips would you give to an up and coming actor like me.
would be sweet to get your reply.
heya, i just wanna ask that what is it like wearing a batman suit? is it hot in there?
p.s u rock as the batman!!!!!! x
Will there be a 3rd film? If so will you be involved?
Hi have you managed to get a chance to catch he IMAX film scenes?
Looking at your performance in the Both Batman films if the roles had been reversed do you think that you could have played a baddie as well as the late Heath? And Heath as good a Batman as you?
Excellent Actor ever since i saw you in Empire of the Sun. Thanx.
Hello Christian, Batman is such a massive role, what are your plans after this and are you concerned that you will struggle to match being Batman? Do you think this will limit roles you are offered in the future?
many claim batman is a conservative’s ‘wet dream’.
How would you respond to this analysis?
Mr Bale
how hard was it to go from being the thinnest living man on the planet (the machinist) to being the Buff Batman?
Christian, In the film american psyhco, you play the psychopathic Patrick Bateman. Is there anyone in real life you would like to unleash his fury on??
Hi Mr Bale, my question to you would be, if you had a chance to relive your life, would you have changed anything about it, or would you have done anything differently, career wise? (any ambitions that maybe would have taken you down a different path?)
I mean your career has been incredibly successful, and so many people admire you around the world for your ability to capture the audience when you get into a specific character. I think your truly a naturally talented actor with pure determination and you put your all into every role you do.
Dear Mr Bale,
I admire you for your natural talent. The way you possess each character you play is amazing. You capture the audience in every possible emotion there is, especially in The Machinist. You are truly inspiring just by your pure determination you have. You really do put your all into each role you play.
My question to you would be, the characters you play, do you choose them, or do they choose you? I mean, can you see yourself playing a certain character, and your acting ability comes naturally, or do you have to physically and mentally adapt yourself to a character that may be more challeging for you to do?
Thank you. If you can, pleas could I have a signed autograph if this question goes through, I would be most grateful!
Cilla, 16
mr bale. we know that you are starring ib the new terminator movie, but my question is this do you think that this movie is a dream movie, i.e they are making this to try and relive what once was with the first two movies,
Do you think that growing up amidst circus-life had an influence on the the array of interesting and complex charaters you are able to play so easily in your films?
Hi Christian,
Can you still sing as well as you did in Empire of the sun??
Hi, Christian Bale you are my favourite actor. The Dark Knight was spectacular.
Moving on my question is… How is it like working with Tim Burton and you seem to act in a lot of his films I was wondering if there is a special reason for that?
Thank you so much.
I mean Christopher Nolan. I`m so sorry.
ur sooooooooo hot.. i love u(: U were so great in batman(:
Hi Christian, you are a terrific actor, i really love the characters you have played, especially Patrick Bateman, Jim, Trevor and John Rolfe. And i think you manage to bring a lot of dry humour to your your performances, which is great!
I’d be interested to know which actors/actresses you admire now, past and present, and which ones really inspired you to act?
Thankyou very much and i can’t wait to see The Dark Knight, you’re my favourite actor!
Will u merry me if someday u give up on her???
Hello Christian. I have noticed in your films you use a variety of voices and accents. Do you consciously decide to change your voice for each character you play and how difficult is it to think of what voice or accent to use for your character?
How was it being with Heath Ledger and by the way kudos the movie was great I LOVED IT! i was speachless. Thank you for your time!
first, batman got really stupid and out of control until you came along and played him and it would be really cool if you teamed up with branden routh and done a batman/superman movie together.
anyway here is my question:
when you play batman, do you play him like you are one big kid excited that you are THE batman and a superhero or do you see it as just a job you are getting paid for like any other person is out there working in a job and just going to work or both?
Hi Christian, i think both you and Heath are great actors and im eagerly awaiting watching your new film. I just wanted to ask you how you feel about the fact that you are the last person to star in a film with Heath? Is it an intimidating thought or and honourable one? best of luck to you and my love and sympathy go to you, the film cast and Heaths family, he was an epic performer,an insperation and will be extremely missed. xxx
What do you think of Bruce Wayne, the character you play?
He lost his parents as a child and now he even acts a playboy just to hide his real identity.
Hi Christian, I was just wondering what working with a legend like Michael Caine is like and whether he gave you any tips on acting.
I thought Batman Begins was the best superhero film of the 21st century and can’t wait for the dark knight!
how many batman movies will there be will catwoman or mr freeze or poision ivy ,robin, batgirl make an appearance
Do you think it’s slightly sad that some of the hype and excitement sorrounding this film is due to Heath Ledger’s death and not due to his actual performance (which was highly commended before these events)?
Hi Christian,
I read that if the writers bring “Robin ” into a future script you will quit, why is this was Robin not a part of the magazines many years ago? Very long film the new Batman film is at 152 mins !
Are you planning to do any more Batman films after Dark Knight? Also, who is your favourite Batman villain?
Looking forward to your role as John Connor in Terminator Salvation.
For Christian
If you yourself writing the story for the next Batman film, how would you stop it becoming a ‘formula’ batman film with the regular villans, regular equipment, etc that’s been seen in all the Batman films so far?
I ask this question because i think the pre-Bale films wereall very poor and would hate to see it fall back into the lazy, predictable and tacky mess they were before.
Not an easy one to answer, but hopefully a little more thought provoking that ‘who would you like as your Batgirl?’
(oh, and who would you like by that way?lol)
Hi Christian,
Congrats for restoring Batman to the position he deserves to be in:)
My question is one that may have already been asked..I haven’t read all the comments here..but here goes…
” Batman is someone with serious psychological problems. Seen from a Jungian perspective, he is someone who chooses to remain stuck in a particular stage of development, foregoing his ‘individuation’ for what he believes to be his mission to rid the world of evil. Batman cannot have a normal life, and he does not have a chance of ever becoming an ordinaty human being with a family. This would obviously give him enough emotional stress to make him go utterly insane, or collpase due to the sheer pressure…mind you, he is an emotionally intense man..not someone who is all pre-frontal cortex, like Sherlock Holmes pretends to be…
How did you deal with this aspect of Batman’s psyche…did you explore the angle that Bruce was voluntarily inflicting punishment on himself for whatever reason, and that his being the Batman is neither pleasurable, nor a meaningless pursuit for him?
It is akin to a morbid penance, and did you think of him that way…a godless man who still performs a penance and turns his angst and bitterness into tangible good (and some broken bones for the baddies)…?
Anyway, best wishes
Hi Christian, I loved Batman Begins and saw more than once in the cinema and mant time on DVD. It ranks as one of my favorite film. Another favorite is The Crow, do you feel there is a similarity in the dark aspect that your portrayal of Batman and Brandon lee’s portrayal of The Crow.
Do you believe psychoactive drugs and meditation (finding enlightenment) are some ways to find out what the world is really all about?
saw pics of you and your girlfriend/wife playing on the beach from some newspaper, bout a few weeks ago.
i suppose its not too long after shooting the film.
How did you manage to put on so much weight so quickly??
i mean, i didn’t even recognize you for the 1st 30 seconds, until i read the first paragraph.
In the comics The Jokers, skin, lips and hair are coloured by chemicals not make up. Also his simle is not cut on but twisted by madness. Why was this changed? It’s not as creepy looking as in the comics.
how old are you
What’s your favourite roll topping? Mine is Ham, Cheese, Lettuce, Stuffing, Coleslaw, Tomato, Sweet corn and peppers.. One more question pro evo or fifa?
I’m a ginger person, I was just wondering if you think Batman would have been popular if he was a dirty ginge?
is the bat mobile hard to park in the car park?
what’s your favourite bit of batman kit, and which is your favourite batmobile… why.
Pro Evolution or Fifa? Also what is your opinion on rolls?
If you only had the choice of one location on Earth where would it be, and why? (I know this is 2 questions but I’m feeling lucky)
What were the physical challenges as well as the mental challenges of improving on your first performance in Batman Begins and living up to the fans’ high expectations for Dark Knight?
Hi mate how u doing, I personally thought your role in shaft was merticously well acted however at the same time I don’t think roles like that suit your character or personality. I really enjoyed your role in batman begins your resprise and repreival of the batman character were both awesome man!!
You should accept a script for a superman movie I tell you fella you would really rock as superman I hope you reply thank you
Shahab, England.
hey chris, love your work.
cant wait to see the movie, would you say that batman allowed a release of the darker side of your persona.
all the best
Hi, hope you’re well.
In the film Velvet Goldmine (which I saw again last week for the first time in years) I wondered about your character Arthur Stewart. I wondered whether Arthur did actually have a relationship or fling with Curt Wyld, and was reminiscing, or whether he was just dreaming that this was the case. Definitely one of my fav films. Thanks for the chance to ask this question, as I have asked several times on here and no-one seems to know!!
Has Christian Bale ever considered playing the lead character John Caspasian in the Caspasian series of adventure novels set in the 1920s and ’30s by Anthony Conway? He is tailor-made for the role.
Christian, as we all know you play Batman, but if you could be any superhero that you’ve heard of or one you’ve created, which would you be? even if it was just for a little while
