We’re not sure about Ireland, but the UK’s summer’s been very hit and miss this year. At least there haven’t been any major floods… yet! Regardless, it’s hardly been tropical.
Nonetheless, be it your favourite song or the one you can barely listen to anymore, there is always the hit of the summer that keeps you dancing all night on a beach holiday, in the car or in your local club.
To celebrate this summer, we’ve decided to build you a dedicated summer ’08 Answers radio station on Yahoo! Music LAUNCHcast so we can keep the holiday flame burning even if you’re stuck in your living room, sheltering from the rain.
Yahoo! LAUNCHcast is a streaming music service allowing you to create your own customised radio station tailored to your tastes. You can rate artists and albums highly to hear them more often and ban the ones you hate! You can also listen to our extensive collection of more than 130 pre-programmed radio stations created by the LAUNCHcast editorial staff.
For the Answers Community we’ve posted a question to find out what songs you’re loving this summer. Then we’ll compile them all together and create an exclusive LAUNCHcast radio station of the best of them.
So to get your favourite tune included now just reply to our question on Answers, add your song of the summer and tell us why it’s the one you just had to chose. Once the Answers Community LAUNCHcast station is built we’ll let you know: all you have to do is plug in and enjoy!

I really love the fresh new sounds created by Rachel Scott – shes got two amazin fresh sounding albums called Aintnoladt 2007 & BLOW 2008 – totally different from anything else i have heard – i believe she writes and produces all her own music
’5 Years Time’ by Noah and the Whale – Excellent tune, in fact the whole album is great.
And the latest Silver Jews album, Look Out Mountain, Look Out Sea – bloomin’ marvellous.
Definitely All Summer Long by Kid Rock. Takes me back to my carefree youth
