Answers outage Tuesday 18th November
Hey everyone,
Answers is undergoing some planned maintenance on Tuesday November 18th, from 8:30am GMT. We anticipate the work will take approximately four hours, and Answers will be unavailable during that time. If there is any change to the schedule, we will inform you here with updates.

what was wrong with answers before with regards to the bug that affected the updates?
it may of had a few problems but yahoo answers is still the best question/answers website on the web…bar none !

Thanks (Not) ! Notification of ‘Yahoo! Answers on Tuesday 18th November received too late ! I went to use ‘Yahoo! Answers’ today & I can’t right now ! Get your Act together ! It is not currently good enough ! You can do much better on the Customer Satisfaction & Customer Service aspects of ‘Yahoo!’ !

Can you tell me why it is still necessary for yahoo to show ‘We taking a breather’ every time we post or answer as question. Apart from being very annoying and a complete waste of time can you tell me the why need for this message?.
I would have thought it would be more benficial if this message is only shown when site maintanance is being undertaken as it is at present.
Surely we do not need to see this message every day.
If you must show a message why not something that will benefit the community as a whole.
Why not a quote for the week or something topical.

Stripped all the beds, did the laundry, shamppooed the living room carpet, washed all the surfaces in the kitchen and the bathroom , vacuumed . Wrote three letters, paid some bills, phoned a friend, fed the cats, supervised the new window cleaner, and saved some family photos. What a productive morning with a clean conscience instead of feeling guilty at wasting time on the computer. Please do it again. I need time to write the Christmas cards.

Since this updating has gone over the time estimated by 1hr, I would think it reasonable that if you need an answer to something urgently, then these questions could be posted on this blog, and then with any luck, someone may know the solution.
