A few weeks ago, via the Sci Fi Channel, we gave you guys the chance to put a question to Tim Kring, the Director of  TV smash hit series Heroes. It proved pretty popular with 466 of you suggesting some pretty diverse and at times tricky questions!

After careful consideration contenders that made the longlist included:

• Why do they not move through more plot per episode?
• Is there a singular overlying vision for where the show is headed and where it is going to end?
• If you could be any of the characters on Heroes, who would you be?

However the winner question came from to Mr Hash S, with a pair of questions:

• Which comic characters have been or are an influence to you for the series?
  
• Also more importantly, where do you get your inspiration from when creating new characters?

They’re great questions and Kring does them justice with a full two-and-a-half-minute answer. We don’t want to spoil it – you really should watch it – but each character’s powers are identified separately depending on their real-world situation.

So thanks again to all the Heroes fans on Answers who contributed so many great suggestions, we hope Kring gave you a little insight into the origin of Heroes.
