Answers survey: your feedback needed…

One of the things the Team is trying to improve this year is getting the Answers community involved earlier when we make improvements to the site. As part of that, we’d love for you to fill out a short survey on the notifications. Please find it here.

We need your opinion on what you love and where there is room for improvement, which notifications we send and how often we send them. Want to receive notifications via something else than email?

The survey is completely anonymous and the results will be used only by the Answers Team to help us with this project.

You can take the survey here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/YQZZBJB

Thanks so much for your help on this!

  1. Absolutely cheesed off that I cannot use e.mail as do not have the ‘send’ button available. Why change format if it does not work for everyone. I’m now paying for a service that I cannot use and I want someone from Yahoo to sort my problems out now!

  2. good show….now only if we could know the results so that we could discuss the application side of things on the well-liked proposed changes. I spend too much time on the SB discussing ideas that are not immediate and/or minor (that needn’t be discussed till their time comes)…..but i suppose i shouldn’t ask for too much.

would Y!A maybe consider a e-mail or quick link advertising this survey?

  3. This system is far too complex for me. I asked a question and am then notified that I have 48 answers and I click the ‘Go to answers’. It just keeps going round in a continuous loop and I never get to see the b….y things!!!

  6. Having had answers removed and 20 points deducted for no good reason that I can see, then having points deducted again for appealing, I have come to realise that there is something rather unpleasant and rather arbitrary about the way YA operates, particularly when you then scan the many hundreds of questions and answers which contain racist or sexist or downright insulting comments which seem to pass with tacit approval from YA to say that an answer is too chatty, well, keep your sad service, I don’t feel inclined to participate further.

  7. Hey Jason,

Sorry to hear you feel like this. We can see the answers you’ve had removed and if you’d like to discuss them with us we’re at y_answrs_team_uk@yahoo.co.uk . We’d hate you to give up on Answers!

  8. you need some way of knowing if the answer or question is from the us uk or other like next to the question asked under the categories maby between the avatar and the question just a little flag would do to let us know were they are in the world as not all questions are obviousmaby or an option when submitting our questions with a flag that means only people from this country can answer and that again is situated between avatar and the question

  9. Why do you wait until an answerer has spent some time to word a decent comprehensive reply, only to delete the question. How come you don’t delete the question before there’s lots of answers.
And you never give any reason whatever for doing this. Some courtesy wouldn’t bo amiss here.
