Food & Drink Month on Answers

This March, we’re celebrating the Food & Drink Month on Answers, by creating a menu. And we want to reach out to all the many nosh-loving participants of the Food & Drink category to make it happen. This menu will include the best recipes for cooking a starter, main and/or dessert: suggested by you guys. Over the years many of you have been asking amazing cookery questions. Today, we’d like to offer you an opportunity to further promote your great answers.

There’s two ways to suggest great recipes.

Either…

A) Send us a great open question about a recipe you’d like to know for a starter, a main or a dessert. Email us at y_answrs_team_uk@yahoo.co.uk

Or…

B) You can either answer each one of the Team questions (here: starter, main or dessert)

If you’re able to help us, you might find yourself published in the Best of Answers module on our frontpage for a week. Even better, if your open question or answer is selected by the Team for Best of Answers or as a Best Answer, you’ll receive 50 bonus points. Choose carefully a great best answer to one of your submitted food questions and at the end of the period and we’ll give you 20 extra points.

We look forward to receiving your suggestions. Keep an eye on our blog where we’ll reveal more details about this initiative in the next few days.

Thanks everyone, happy planning!

  1. For Dessert I always enjoy this recipe:

    1 Angelfood cake mix
1 container frozen strawberries in syrup – thawed
    1 small box Strawberry Jell-o

Make the cake by the package directions, invert and cool. Once removed from the pan, cut 2 inches off the top of the cake as one piece. Then hollow out the rest of the cake, saving the pieces your remove. Add 1 c boiling water to the Strawberry Jell-o. Stir in the thawed strawberries in syrup. Refrigerate until it is cool and starting to set. Tear the removed pieces of cake into bite-sized pieces and add to the cooled jell-o. Stir to combine. Pour into the hollowed out area on the cake. Place the top back on the cake. Cover the entire cake with Cool whip. Refrigerate until it is cold and the jell-o has set. When you slice it, it is beautiful to see and tastes wonderful.
